I thought it a little wierd that Melanda wasn't in the last episode. Thought being a good friend of Alex they would have a scene together after Luke was born.

I hope her departure doesn't go unmentioned like Victor's. She and Zach were in a pretty serious relationship. Benjamin Ayers commented on how Zach might have a hard time dealing with Joel's death and his relationship with Mel might be tested. I guess with the time jump they can gloss over that a bit.

Aww, I like Glenda/Melanda and her sweet friendship and chemistry with Erica/Alex and the other cast. I'm gonna miss her and her sassy attitude!

Maybe she'll make a reappearance in future seasons. Other than that, I hope they won't write in a character death send off. That would be rough on Benjamin/Zach!
