Nothing has been announced yet other than 'midseason', and I believe Michael tweeted January at some point.
CTV is repeating Season 4 on Saturday nights for the fall. Just saw on their schedule September 10 is the start date. If they show one per week, Season 4 would finish on January 7. Season 5 will be shown on Sundays, so January 8 is a possible premiere date if they want to go right from 4 to 5.
Notorious is the new show that's on Thursday nights, the day Saving Hope aired last year. Saving Hope will be shown on Sunday nights this season, so one of CTV's Sunday shows must only be showing for the fall.
The article on the fall and 2017 schedule is in the Season 5 Media thread.
Lots of tweets this week about filming the season finale. If photobucket starts working for me again I'll post a few.
I'm getting the vibe that this will be the final season. Between Erica's interview, crew members' last episode tweets, and overall mood, that's the feeling I'm getting. I don't believe anything is set in stone, and we won't know for sure until there's an announcement, so we'll see.
On a happier note, Michael sent out a cryptic tweet that possibly hinted at a wedding in the finale. That would certainly bring the show full circle if Charlie and Alex got married.
So...anyone have any guesses on how the season and show will end? Will we get a happy ending with a wedding? Do you think the title refers to an overall feeling/essence, and we'll get a great closing voiceover from Charlie? Or are they going to break our hearts with someone's death and then the title refers to the fact that people may be gone but hope, spirits, and memories can continue forever?
Hurry up January!

I think they've known for a while about the late start, and possibly as well about it ending. From the article, tweets, and other media it looks like the show will wrap up neatly, and at a very high point standard-wise.
From the article it sounds like the crew as a whole just reached a stopping point. Ratings were very steady.
The article also hints that the cast had a say in the matter.
But again it appears the show is ending on their terms instead of having the plug pulled at the last moment. I'm nervous about how the show will end but it seems like they have something great in store for us.
