Anyone ever had plantar fasciitis?

No. Woken up with horrible foot and leg cramps though.

I have it just now and its a pain in well the heel. Woke up Wednesday before last being unable to walk. So painful just to stand up! But its not a condition that really needs a surgeon or a Saving Hope doc. Surgery is incredibly rare as a treatment.

No but I was wrongly diagnosed with it and given the wrong supports. I ended up suffering 3 years every time I wore any shoes with them. When I eventually went back to the podiatrist they discovered my problem and sent me for x-rays to make sure there wasn't any perminant damage done. Thankfully I wasn't but found out I have posterior tibial tendon dysfunction which is very painful. I have to wear supports and need a new pair but sadly every time I ring up nobody ever answers the phone. I have bought some supports from a german shop which the assistant was fantastic with helping me and now only get pain in one foot rather than both of them.

I bought an extra support from amazon too. Not brave enough to try the new one for work yet. (only got the one of amazon a week ago)

I know how you feel about the damned pain and how hard it is to find shoes that doesn't hurt. Sadly only shoes that do not hurt me are crocs but am not allowed to wear them at work with working in a kitchen. They look ugly but they are great for my feet. So use trainers for work and crocs at home or when my feet feel like they are on fire I don't wear anything. They get that hot you can cook eggs on them lol
I found what does help is doing ice therapy which consitst of 10 minutes of putting your feet on a bag of frozen peas with a towel on it. 3 times a week and if really bad do twice a day.

I've recently discovered Skechers memory foam sneakers and I'm never going back to anything else. I know a lot of people who love crocs too.

Thanks ZionHarris and unfortunately priggy you do get used to the pain. I've been suffering with my feet since 2008. Would be nice for both you and me and anyone else suffering with bad feet to be one day painfree.

It seems to be getting better, I've got new gel insoles, but still there just lightly.
Mine is def plantar fasciitis, the pain is right where the fascia joins the heel bone.

HI! I have had this and it's painful. Luckily over time and wearing proper fitting shoes, mine went away. Now if bunions would go away I'd be dancing. yup I had one removed when I was 16 and it's coming back. Don't have time to get it done and doctor says I'm too young. Crazy doc.
